THE Mayor of Dudley’s charities are set to net more cash when councillors and officers go head to head in a football match.
Four short games are set to be played at The Dell Stadium in Brierley Hill on July 31.
There will be a series of matches between cross party councillors and officers plus a youth display match at the event, which will pull in the pounds for the Mayor’s charities - Dudley Stroke Association, Dudley Mind and The Open Stage Learning Group which helps people with learning disabilities to perform on stage.
Councillor Pat Martin, Mayor of Dudley, said: “I am delighted to see cross party members and council officers coming together to raise money for these very worthwhile causes.
“I hope people will also come and watch and help raise vital funds.”
The Mayor will kick off the first match at 6.30pm.
The evening will also include a raffle and a presentation of trophies to the winning teams.
