DUDLEY residents with a driveway could earn £828 a year in rent from commuters looks for cheap parking, according to a new survey.
Website YourParkingSpace.co.uk has analysed prices of 10,000 driveways available at 6,500 locations to find the top 50 UK cities and towns.
And Dudley is the 38th most lucrative area in the UK for renting a driveway - with the price increasing by £273 from £555 in the last three years.
London has the most expensive driveway at £2,532 a year.
Website founder Charles Cridland, said: “As people continue to feel the pinch we expect to see even more driveways being offered to hard up commuters. It’s safe and easy to do online, and a great way to make money from an asset you own that’s going to waste during the day.”
