THERE is still time for residents to nominate their unsung heroes for the Mayor’s Civic Awards.
And now there are even more ways to honour those people who work tirelessly in their communities, before the deadline of February 19.
As well as nominating online at dudley.gov.uk and through forms, which can be picked up at borough libraries, people can also put forward names through Dudley Council’s twitter feed, by using the hashtag #civicawards, or through the ‘Dudley borough’ facebook page.
There are four categories to nominate people for - Duncan Edwards award for sport, the Cedric Hardwicke award for arts, the Frank Foley award for community spirit and the Thomas Attwood award for education.
Councillor Michael Evans, Mayor of Dudley, said: “We want to give people every opportunity to get involved with the awards and let us have their nominations.
“The borough has a wealth of people who work tirelessly in their communities, and with so many ways to get in touch with us, I hope people will help us give them the recognition they deserve.”
