St George’s Day Parade was a splendid occasion for SCOUTING and GUIDING in Kidderminster.
Hundreds of young people paraded through the town and filled the Churches of St Mary’s & All Saints, St George’s and Baxter Church. Together with the Worcestershire Commissioner I attended the Service at St George’s Church where special awards were made to long serving Scout Leaders.
I was so proud to take the Salute on your behalf outside the Town Hall. Afterwards I hosted in the King Charles Room a Reception for District Scout Leaders and was able to thank them for the sterling service they give to so many of our young people.
The last match of the season for Kidderminster Harriers against Mansfield Town was eventful with the possibility of Match Playoffs for the Harriers. In the end Mansfield won as did Luton so hopes were dashed. I was pleased to hear that the injured Harriers Player who was airlifted to hospital is making a good recovery. I was very impressed with the Ground Safety Procedures that took place whilst the Air Ambulance was in action.
Good Luck Kidderminster Harriers for the next Football Season.
