A PROPERTY group based in Bromsgrove who specialise in retirement apartments raised more than £250,000 for charities in 2016.

Churchill Retirement Living, which has its regional office on Buntsford Drive, in Bromsgrove, raised the impressive tally in the first full year of its charity The Churchill Foundation.

This total will help a wide range of charities, including the Foundation’s main partner charities for 2016, Macmillan Cancer Support, The Silver Line, ChildLine and WellChild.

Spencer McCarthy, Chairman, CEO and trustee of the Churchill Foundation, said: "We believe strongly in giving something back to the communities we build in.

"The Churchill Foundation is a relatively new initiative that we are very proud of and its aim is to transform people’s lives by supporting a wide range of charities.

"We’re delighted with the success it’s achieved in its first full year, raising well over a quarter of a million pounds for national and local causes which all mean a lot to us.

"We are keen to support the communities in which we build so if you know of a local group, school, charity or cause who needs some extra help, then please get in touch and we may be able to help.”
