A TAX expert at a Brierley Hill law firm was “surprised but honoured” to pick up the finance prize at the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year Awards.
Higgs & Sons’ Adam Rollason received the award which recognises the impact of young professionals on the region’s business sector in areas including law, marketing and technology.
Voted as ‘one to watch’ by the Association of Tax Technicians in 2014, the 28-year-old corporate tax advisor at the Waterfront-based company was thrilled with his achievement.
Adam said: “To even be nominated as making a remarkable contribution to the financial sector is an amazing achievement in itself, but to win the finance award is unbelievable.
“I am incredibly proud.”
With more than 10 years’ experience in the financial sector, Adam, who is part of the OMB technical committee of the Chartered Institute of Tax, was headhunted by Higgs & Sons in 2015.
Paul Hunt, managing partner of Higgs & Sons, said: “Adam is a committed and talented individual who has made an outstanding contribution not only in our firm but in the wider financial industry.
“We are extremely proud of his achievement and have every faith in his potential to become an exceptional business leader.”
