LUDLOW MP Philip Dunne met Pathway Intermediates founders David Garnett and Robin James with Edward Younger during a visit to the company’s plant in Clun.

Pathway Intermediates was founded in 2007 and has grown rapidly, supplying powdered surfactants for the animal feed industry globally, exporting 95 per cent of its output from its manufacturing facilities at Shrewsbury, Bishop’s Castle and Clun.

Mr Dunne congratulated the company on winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its export growth in 2012.

He said: “Pathway Intermediates is an exciting company, built up by entrepreneurs who were determined to use their biological science skills to develop a business here in Shropshire, focussed on exports to leading global manufacturers.

“The company is still growing fast and is currently looking to employ two additional employees.”
