I wanted more insight into the origins of this humble organisation, so I decided to get in contact with the founder, Issam Manaa, and he kindly took time out of his busy schedule to give us the backstory of Manaa Flooring. 

 “I started in the flooring trade approximately 14 years ago as a general labourer, clearing areas of debris, moving equipment round and bringing in materials ready to be fitted. I watched the floor fitters, whom I worked alongside, with admiration. Their skill, speed, and technique, I knew that this is what I could envision myself doing as academia was never my strong point. 

I worked my way up through the different stages in the labouring trade and started to gain skills of floor fitting. With each contract I worked on, I was eager to learn the skills of the trade, I progressed, developed my own technique. 

The work was hard, dirty, tiring and the hours long; especially working up and down the country, but I had an aim an end goal - Alhamdulillah I have it now. 

Manaa Flooring has developed over the years, with the help of Allah swt. The skills I have acquired, have allowed me to expand my knowledge base and floor fitting types, from domestic to commercial flooring. Providing a service that is not only professional, but personal. I take pride in the work I do and the results I achieve, which I hope is reflected in the reviews and comments I get from my clients.” 

Like many people religion is a very big part of Mr Manaa’s life, and I think it’s fair to believe reminding himself of his religion and how he started, has kept him humble. Every day he makes people happy by doing something as simple as changing their floor and giving houses just that slight improvement.
