KIDDERMINSTER’S thriving Swan Centre has built an impressive reputation for its year-round fun events for shoppers of all ages.

There really is something for everyone – youngsters can discover their creative side, while mums and dads, grannies and grandads enjoy entertainment through the ages.

The 2012 events get off to an appropriately slushy start on Saturday, February 11 with the centre’s Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Charming Swan visitors with love songs that will bring a little romance into everyone’s lives is Michael Bublé tribute act Simon James.

Simon/Michael will be crooning popular tracks including Crazy Love and Hollywood in two performances. starting at noon and 2.30pm.

The Queen of Hearts will be on hand to distribute chocolate heart goodies and shoppers will be encouraged to visit the centre’s florists and gift shops for all their February 14 needs.

Easter smiles are guaranteed on Saturday, April 7, thanks to the Swan Centre chocolate factory. Children will be able to join in a ‘create and craft’ workshop and make Easter bonnets, bunny ears, sheep hats and Easter cards for loved ones and friends.

At 3pm, the centre will stage a grand Easter parade, with a chocolate gift for all those taking part and a big chocolate egg for the overall winner.

Summertime at the Swan features three eagerly-awaited, fun-filled themed events, all with ‘create and craft’ opportunities.

London 2012 fever hits the centre on Tuesday, July 24 with a Pre-Olympics Day – and the chance to win some medals!

The fun continues with Animal Magic on Tuesday, August 14 when animal lovers of all ages can meet giant rabbits, tortoises, dragon lizards and snakes.

And, last but not least, on Tuesday, August 28, there’s swashbuckling fun with Pirates Ahoy!, allowing budding Captain Jack Sparrows can practise ‘ahoy, there, me hearties’ to their heart’s content.

‘Tis the season to be jolly from Saturday, November 17 – the big Christmas lights switch-on day.

The Swan will be staging a Victorian entertainment day when visitors can try their hand at traditional games including quoits and hoop and stick.

Santa’s Grotto will also open its doors. Open seven days a week and with 38 units offering a wide range of products, the Swan Centre is the ideal shopping destination in 2012.

The award-winning, clean and safe car park has more than 400 spaces, CCTV and an attendant on duty at all times. Right next door is a car valeting service.
