Chairman Sheila Hughes thanked Betty Davis for the flowers on the table and said that a letter of condolence had been sent to Edna Biggs on the death of her husband and read a thank you letter from Edna.
Congratulations were extended to Edna Cosnett and Kath Dixon on their success in the sponsored walk in aid of the rebuilding fund at Baptist Church. It was reported that members who had been in TG for 40 years were eligible for a special certificate.
Discussion took place on arrangements for members' crafts, which would be exhibited at Federation AGM.
In view of the rebuilding taking place and difficulty providing tea and coffee, it was agreed squash would be supplied at meetings for the foreseeable future.
Secretary Margaret Page read the correspondence received and said the St George's Day Celebrations would be held at Sedgley.
Vice-Chairman, Betty Davis wished Happy Birthday' to members born in April.
Edna Biggs gave the treasurer's report for March. Nora Owen reported the choir would be singing at nine concerts this year.
Betty Davis confirmed programmes were now available for the 2008-9 meetings. She said it had not been possible to arrange a visit to M&S and there would be no outing in April.
A canal trip would take place on May 21 to celebrate 80 years of West Midlands Federation, names Betty Davis.
Joyce Connor asked members to visit the sales table to purchase jewellery and requested garden items at the May Meeting.
The raffle took place, winners were Mary Vincent and Nora Friel.
Mr Mike Wilbes showed us the most remarkable slides with commentary of birds and animals.
He had erected a hide' with three cameras set up, where he spent many hours in order to obtain the wonderful pictures, as well as taking his other cameras around the locality and further afield.
Peggy Pritchard thanked Mr Wilkes for the superb photos, which we had all enjoyed.
