New Chairwoman Mrs Sandra Hartshorne opened the April meeting, the first of the new guild year in the Haven room in the Zion Centre - a new venue for Hawne TG.

The meeting was very successful with nine ladies joining the guild that evening.

No one reported any problems with parking.

Many favourable comments about the venue were made to committe members.

The Chairwoman announced the allocation of jobs for the committee members and asked members to help on the sales table and with making the refreshments.

When the business of the evening was done the Chairwoman introduced the evening speakers.

Retired fire service worker Gill Smith gave a talk entiled Pamper Packages.

She gave us a brief history of massage and said there is evidence the Romans used massage to treat injury.

The next meeting is on Monday May 19 at 7.30pm in the Haven Room, Zion Centre, when Irene Layton MBE will talk about the Fun in Funraising.
