As reported in last week's Halesowen News - the Crystal Folk and Acoustic Music Club made its long awaited move to the Blackheath Liberal Club, 51 John Street Blackheath and was pronounced a great success.
As well as residents from the former Wordsley venue the opening evening was filled with musicians and singers from other local clubs, as well as welcoming newcomers to the club.
In addition to club organiser Anne Adams who formed a duo with Steve Grosvenor, the audience were entertained by the irrepressible "Turkey" Tommy Ellis, the delightful sounds of EvenStevens, a duo who are making quite a name for themselves on the Black Country folk scene.
There were also great songs from the one and only Malcom Speak, tales from story teller Ron Plant and many more.
A great night was had by all.
