Governors from the Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust will be out and about over the next few weeks at a venue near you.

The ‘Meet your Governor’ sessions are now in full swing and meetings have already taken place in Sandwell and Wolverhampton.

The next session for people to go along to is in Dudley. Members and non-members of the trust can go and quiz their governors about health and wellbeing issues that matter to them.

The session is on Monday, April 15 at The Venue, located in the High Street in Dudley, between 3pm and 6pm.

Governors are at the heart of being a Foundation Trust. They play a pivotal role representing not only the community but also stakeholder organisations.

“I am extremely passionate about working to positively improve the lives and opportunities for not only our service users, but for members of the public also,” said Dudley governor Matthew Morrison.

“I am keen to ensure the right support is there for the people of our community who have a learning disability, or for those families who access our community healthcare services for children and young people.”

Dr Shahab Quershi, a Dudley GP and governor echoes the comments. “I want to make sure our residents of Dudley have access to the best services in Dudley and I am here to help make that happen,” he said.

Anyone wishing to find out when governors will be at their local venue is asked to call 0121 612 8084 for more information.
