CARING pupils, staff and parents at a Halesowen school had a dotty day of dancing and enterprise to raise funds for Children in Need.
Mum Mary Ryder spearheaded the fundraising at Caslon Primary School with help from a couple of parents and nursery teacher Becky Fellows led a danceathon, which ran throughout the day.
Deputy headteacher Karen Brass said: “It was an amazing day. All parents, teachers and children participated throughout the day and looked exhausted but happy at the end.”
Pupils paid 50p each to wear spotty clothes and, as well as dancing, the young entrepreneurs made Pudsey Bear soft toys, cakes and biscuits to sell, raising more than £100 for the appeal.
Mrs Brass said the day was also used to teach them the importance of keeping fit and healthy.
