A COFFEE shop is helping put Halesowen on the map after featuring in a top 50 list compiled by a national newspaper.
Coffee 2, in the Cornbow Shopping Centre, was praised by a secret tester as being a “simple place with well-trained staff. Always a good coffee well made.”
Owner Paul Nattress said he was thrilled to appear in the list published earlier this month in the Independent, as a guide to connoisseurs looking for something different from the big chain coffee shops.
He said: “It’s quite a plus for us. We ‘ve had a lot of customers come in saying they had read the article. We even had someone travel from Stratford to try us out.
“For a little place like Halesowen, it’s not a bad thing, as most of those listed in are in big cities.”
Coffee 2 has been serving customers for four years and a year go Mr Nattress opened a second coffee house in Bromsgrove.
With plans for a third somewhere in the Midlands, he believes in going the extra mile with friendly service and quality, locally sourced and cottage industry produced snacks to tempt his customers.
