BLACK Country martial arts instructor Rob Lock is bringing self-defence classes devised by a top UK stuntman to Halesowen and Cradley Heath.
After making his TV stunt debut in BBC spy drama Hunted last year, he has teamed up with his long-time pal and sought after stunt co-ordinator Andy Norman, co-founder of the Keysi Fighting Method.
He is running Mr Norman’s new Defence Lab classes at Lutley Community Centre and Haden Hill Leisure Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8pm until 9pm.
The new fighting method has been the martial art of choice for fight scenes in blockbuster movies including the Batman trilogy with Christian Bale.
Mr Lock said: “Defence Lab will be replacing our Keysi Fighting Method classes and it’s guaranteed to give students the knowledge and skills for real life defence situations.”
The 52-year-old instructor, who has decided to leave his Lye academy behind and concentrate on taking his classes into the community, is also launching karate and Thai boxing sessions at the Halesowen and Cradley Heath venues from Friday.
Free taster sessions are available by ringing 01384 896502.
