New police commissioner to hold trust and confidence summit
5:00pm Sunday 3rd February 2013 in Local
NEW West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Bob Jones is inviting people to attend a new trust and confidence summit.
The event, taking place at Tally Ho Police Training Centre, Birmingham, from 9.30pm to 3pm on March 13, will be chaired by Deputy West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Yvonne Mosquito.
And Doreen Lawrence, founder of the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, will be the main speaker.
Commissioner Bob Jones said: "We want communities in the West Midlands to have trust and confidence in their local police.
“Our levels of reported crime are at a historic low, but we all need to see we are being served by an efficient and fair police in order to feel safe within our neighbourhoods.”
Electronic registration for the summit is now open. Places are free of charge but limited.
