SANDWELL Drug and Alcohol Partnership are holding road shows as part of a new alcohol awareness campaign.

The event will advise people on their alcohol intake and will be held on Wednesday, March 6 10am to 1pm, Sainsbury’s, Oldbury centre. Sandwell has the 17th highest rate for alcohol-related hospitalities out of 152 local authorities.

Carl Griffin, consultant in public health for Sandwell Primary Care Trust and chair of the SDAP, said: “Drinking too much is one of the biggest public health problems we see in Sandwell.

"It is important that our residents are aware of the dangers of drinking too much, so we can tackle alcohol-related harm. We fully support this local campaign”.
