9:00am Sunday 17th March 2013 in Local
A BRAND new hotel in Birmingham is offering opportunities for local people who are looking to start a career in hospitality.
The Holiday Inn Express has 50 jobs available, from kitchen staff to managers, giving people a chance to develop a range of skills in catering and administration.
Andrea Whigham, general manager of the 19 storey hotel, which opens in June, said: “Offering career paths for young people is very important to me.
“I have a personal commitment to developing young people and I will be looking into establishing an apprenticeship scheme in the future."
Previously known as the Kennedy Tower, the development will transform the former office block into a 224-bedroom uniquely furnished, modern hotel.
