Two major IT firms have come into Halesowen College to find new apprentices.
David Matty from Scott Young Research and Matthew Grove from Grovenet came in and spoke to IT students who are looking to progress onto an IT apprenticeship.
The apprenticeships available at these companies are level 3 (Advanced) and Level 4 (Higher) Apprenticeships. The employers discussed the roles they are looking to fill and expectations of an apprentice to the 22 students.
Alison Tucker, Assessor at Halesowen College, said: “The employers were really impressed with the students and are keen for them to apply for their vacancies – this is great news.
“We can work together with local companies to get young people into work.”
