Dudley's mystery lottery winner failed to claim prize
12:11pm Tuesday 17th September 2013 in Local
A MYSTERY lottery winner from Dudley borough has missed out on a £76,842 fortune as they did not claim their prize in time.
The lucky ticket-holder, who picked winning numbers 4, 11, 14, 27, 43, 46 and the bonus ball - 42 - for the draw on March 20, 2013 had until yesterday (Monday September 16) to put in their claim.
But as no-one came forward, the money, plus all the interest it earned, has been added to The National Lottery Good Causes pot and be distributed to deserving people, communities and projects across the UK.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Unfortunately, I can confirm that the ticket-holder did not come forward within the deadline to claim their prize and has now sadly missed out on this substantial amount of money.
“We tried very hard to find the ticket-holder and it’s a real shame that they have missed out, but there is still one winner – the nation.”
Anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call the National Lottery Line on 0845 910 0000.
