Kind-hearted Cradley Heath pupils in fundraising bid
1:37pm Wednesday 25th September 2013 in Local
DENIM was the order of the day at a Cradley Heath school as pupils raised more than £800 for Genetic Disorders UK.
Ormiston Forge Academy pupils swapped their uniforms for jeans in aid of the annual national campaign Jeans for Genes Day.
The school also extracted DNA during the day and those who took part have gone into a draw to win a necklace with DNA inside.
Principal Andrew Burns said: "Once again our students have responded positively to a very worthy call. The donation buckets filled up quickly this morning and the Forge family looked smart and proud."
