Rowley Regis man jailed for subjecting schoolgirl to "terrible ordeal"

A ROWLEY Regis child rapist put a schoolgirl through a "terrible ordeal" which will have a life-long impact.
Twisted Christopher Reynolds was jailed for 12 years at Worcester Crown Court after being found guilty of one charge of rape and two of sexual activity with a child.
Reynolds, aged 28, who carried out his sickening crimes in 2011 when he was living in the Kidderminster area, had denied the charges which relate to a 12-year-old girl who told cops the offending began when she was 11.
Detective Constable Claire Marsden, of West Mercia Police, said: “The offences came to light when the victim broke down at school.
“Reynolds put this young girl through a terrible ordeal and by maintaining his innocence, he then put her through the further trauma of having to give evidence at his trial.
“His actions have had a major impact upon her life, and will undoubtedly affect her in some ways for the rest of her life.
“However the lengthy sentence imposed demonstrates the seriousness with which the justice system views such offences and we hope she will draw some comfort from knowing he is off the streets for many years to come.”
At the conclusion of his trail, Reynolds, of Throne Crescent, was also given an indefinite Sex Offenders Notice, meaning that upon his release from prison he will be required to register his details with the police.
