CREATIVE Cradley Heath is holding its next meeting on Monday, January 6 at The Oaks Project.

The group of artists, historians writers, musicians, sculptures, designers and other people in the creative industries have grown in number since launching in September.

CCH is planning to turn the town into the cultural hotbed of the borough after Sandwell Council announced the axing of The Public and is hoping to have a breakthrough 2014.

Fran Wilde, from the group, said: "The focus of the meeting will be our forthcoming Arts Taster Day and the best way of organising the event.

"We should also have a review of Cradley Heath Christmas lights switch on event as well as the Old Hill event."

The group is also working together with the Cradley Heath Traders Association and the Women's Chain Makers Festival Support Group.

Mrs Wilde added: "We will also discuss the kinds of projects we would like to generate so when we have the opportunity of collaborating with other organisations, we have good ideas that relate to the interests of the members in the group and Cradley Heath."

The CHC meeting is being held at Monday, January 6 at 5.30pm at the Oaks Project, Cradley Enterprise Centre, Maypole Fields.
