HUNDREDS of fundraisers will be pounding the streets of Halesowen in next month’s Sport Relief Mile.

Run by Sainsbury’s, families are encouraged to wear fancy dress to walk, jog or sprint one, three or six miles to help people in need at home and abroad.

There will be a warm up zumba to kick start participants who will set off on Sunday March 23 from Halesowen Leisure Centre, Pool Road, at 11.30am.

Billy Taylor, from the centre’s gym, said: “This is the second time Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile has come to Halesowen so let’s don the headband, get training and show the rest of the country what we can do all over again.

“Of course, once you’ve finished the race the fun doesn’t stop there, with a delicious bake sale, fun and games, face painting and a raffle with fantastic prizes including a one night hotel stay, a free haircut and many more.”
