CRADLEY Heath Salvation Army is holding a series of events this Easter weekend.

From 11am until 1pm on Saturday children and their parents and grandparents are invited to come along to the Meredith Street centre for a craft day.

Captain Elizabeth Hancock said: "There will be a number of craft options available for the children to make as we embrace the real meaning of Easter together.

"Lunch and refreshments will be provided and all we ask is a minimum donation of £1 per person."

She added: "Following the Messy Easter event the cadets will then be heading into the high street to hand out free Cadbury Creme eggs and Easter tracts to the general public."

The cadets from William Booth Training College, London, will lead its Easter worship on Sunday.
