The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between April 14-17:

Luke Jonathon Cartwright, aged 27, of Furlong Walk, Lower Gornal, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for stealing meat, coffee and aftershave from various supermarkets in Dudley between February 16 and April 13. He was also sentenced for failing to surrender to custody at Dudley Magistrates Court on April 4.

John Edward Blackwell, aged 64, of Penzer Street, Kingswinford, was fined £600 for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, in Coseley on November 7. He was ordered to pay compensation of £150, a victim surcharge of £60 and £620 court costs.

Artur Giedzuin, aged 40, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for six months for assaulting a woman in Dudley on December 17. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15.

Richard Stephen Tillard, aged 24, of Parsons Street, Dudley, was fined £70 for possessing cannabis in Dudley on March 27. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Jason Stephen Bailey, aged 34, of Islington, Halesowen, was sent to prison for four weeks for stealing bacon and cheese from Iceland, Halesowen, on March 7.

Michael Charles McDermott, aged 45, of Overfield Road, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing cheese, worth £10, from Iceland, Dudley, on February 4. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Lee Jones, aged 34, of Addison Road, Brierley Hill, was discharged conditionally for nine months for stealing an ornamental illuminated snowman, worth £40, in Brierley Hill on December 3. He was ordered to pay compensation of £40, a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Andrew Michael Smith, aged 39, of Lyndsey Place, Brierley Hill, was given a six week community order for stealing chocolate, worth £13.74, from Home Bargains, Brierley Hill on April 2 and cheese and chocolate, worth £23.50, from One Stop shop, Brierley Hill on April 12. He was given a six week curfew and for the duration must stay at his home address between 7pm and 7am. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60.

Joseph Albert Michael Campbell, aged 21, of Springfield Avenue, Lye, was sent to prison for eight weeks for assaulting a woman and a police officer in Quarry Bank and damaging a police issued fleece jacket, worth £50, in Brierley Hill on January 19, while subject to a suspended sentence.

Graham McFarlane, aged 33, of Lower Derry Street, Brierley Hill, was fined £160 for assaulting a woman in Brierley Hill on March 29. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Aaron Botfield, aged 21, of Regis Road, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for 120 days for assaulting a woman in Netherton on February 23, while subject to a community order.

Joshua Joseph Carra, aged 23, of Stennels Avenue, Halesowen, was fined £120 for causing £247.82 worth of damage to a window in Halesowen on March 11. He was ordered to pay compensation of £247.82, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

William John Barker, aged 89, of Simms Lane, Netherton, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for assaulting a woman in Sedgley on February 9. He was ordered to pay compensation of £50 and a victim surcharge of £15.
