New councillor launches litter picks to help Halesowen in Bloom

UKIP Halesowen North Councillor Stuart Henley is enlisting volunteers to join him on the streets in a series of community litter picks.

The newly-elected Halesowen North Councillor is urging residents to join him on Saturday, June 21 at 10.30am when he will be leading the first litter pick.

He is calling on members of the local community to support the litter picks which will take place every weekend up ahead of Britain in Bloom judges visiting the town on July 21.

Cllr Henley said: “If people have just an hour to spare they can still make a major difference in support of the Halesowen in Bloom event.”

Hi there

The first litter pick will take place from the KFC/Gregs/Travelodge carpark on Saturday 21st 1030am. It will continue for approx two hours but any time that can be given will be a great help.

Please reply to this message if you will be attending. There will be a litter pick each Saturday & Sunday up to the Halesowen In Bloom event so there will other other dates if you cant make this one..

Drinks will be provided after the event kindly donated by local companies.

Kind Regards

Stuart Henley
