THE 75th anniversary of Windsor High School is being marked by a summer fun day next weekend.

The Windsor High School Association has organised the Wartime Windsor event at the school on Saturday, July 5.

There will be a World War Two feel to proceedings with battle vehicles on display, medals on show and live 1940s music being performed.

Vice-chairman of the WHSA Mick Cox is looking forward to the Wartime Windsor event.

He said: "It should be a great day at the school as lots of people will be dressing up in wartime clothes and there should be a great atmosphere.

"There will be lots of museum artefacts from WW2 including ration books, medals as well as the battle vehicles which will prove popular."

Other attractions on the day include a bouncy castle, house games, a tea dance, raffle, live music and dance shows

Mr Cox added: "Old pupils are welcome to return to the school on the day and it should be a popular event as we are so close to the D-Day and WW1 anniversaries."

The Wartime Windsor summer fun day is on Saturday, July 5 between11am and 2pm.
