These are the pictures of the two people charged with murdering Halesowen pensioner Cynthia Beamond.

Leo Barnes and Chantelle Moran-Stokes appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday) charged with murder of 80-year-old Mrs Beamond.

Barnes, aged 32, from Runcorn Road, Balsall Heath, was also charged with the murder of 67-year-old Philip Silverstone in London on Saturday.

The pair were both arrested on Sunday morning and, after the police were given extra time to question them, were charged last night.

Chantelle Moran-Stokes, from Latches Close, Darlaston, is 24-years-old.

Neither entered a plea and they were both remanded in custody and will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday.

Cynthia’s body was found concealed at her house in Howley Grange, Halesowen on Sunday evening.

A post mortem revealed she died as a result of serious head injuries.
