Oldbury Npower pair in fundraising climb

A DUO from Npower's Oldbury base tackled the nation’s highest mountain in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Andrew Horne and Bonner Sweeney braved wind and rain to climb Ben Nevis with 38 other employees from across the UK.

Mr Sweeney reached the summit and, although Mr Horne could not quite reach the top due to a back complaint, their efforts contributed to more than £7,800 being raised for the charity.

The Ben Nevis challenge is part of a 2014 employee campaign to mark 10 years of partnership between Macmillan and Npower by raising £150,000. which the energy supplier vows to match pound for pound.
