A MEMORIAL ride out of more than 100 bikers will set off from Halesowen later this month in memory of a Colley Gate cancer victim.
Big-hearted bikers made a dream come true for Brandon Carter in January when he rode a Harley Davidson in a 275-strong convoy from Strteetbike to the Quatt cafe near Bridgnorth.
The 27-year-old died from skin cancer in May and members of the Sandwell Bike Meet are planning a re-run of January’s route, which raised almost £650 for Macmillan Cancer Support to raise more cash for the charity.
Friend and bike enthusiast Wendy Abbey said: “He was a lovely lad, very courageous and we wanted to do a memorial ride for him.”
Around 200 bikers are already scheduled to take part and more are expected to turn up for the ride out on Sunday August 31 at 9.30am from the Mucklow Hill store.
