QUINTON Ramblers will be repeating the eight mile ramble around Kinver on Saturday - four decades after they walked the route for the first time
The ramblers, drawn from across Quinton, Halesowen, Oldbury and Birmingham, have completed 882 walks covering a total of 7888 miles since 1974.
Founder member Bill Stevenson, aged 85, said: “Over the years we have visited a host of beautiful places across the Midlands and further afield.
"Rambling is great exercise for all ages and is an excellent way to make new friends.”
Quinton Ramblers undertake regular walks on the first Wednesday and third Saturday of each month.
This season’s programme includes walks around Kinver, Clifton-on-Teme, Cannock Chase, Avon Dassett and Henley in Arden. Distances covered vary from six to ten miles.
