Blackheath Sainsbury's offering home for community groups

HOMELESS community groups are being offered a free place to meet in Blackheath.

Staff at Sainsbury’s are looking for community groups to could benefit from using their cafe space free of charge.

Jo Thatcher, from Sainsbury's, said: "If a group has had its meeting place closed down or funding cut - we can help."

"Whether you belong to or run your own book club, slimming class, chess or knitting club, creative writing class, PTA, study group or just need some space to hold a meeting."

She added: "Lets make our space your space, we want to help our local community."

The cafe is available from Monday to Thursday between 9am and noon and Monday to Saturday between 7pm and10pm.
