AN Oldbury-based documentary maker has made a unique film charting the lives of Asian workers in Smethwick’s engineering industry more than 40 years ago.
Year Zero will be premiered tomorrow at Smethwick Library at 1.30pm as part of Black History Month.
Narinder Dosanjh’s firm centres around workers in the metal industry and shows Asian men and their communities who worked in and around the town from the 1950s to the 1970s.
