A TAXMAN was wished many happy returns after clocking up 50 years with Halesowen based accountants Nicklin LLP.
Tax manager Derek Grove joined the company's old Blackheath office in 1964 and specialised in all areas of small accounts preparation.
He then progressed to be an accounts manager and helped big and small clients with their tax accountancy needs.
Over the last 15 years, Derek has specialised in all aspects of taxation and caters from personal and corporate clients as well as being the Halesowen office manager.
Senior partner Harvey Owen said: "To mark his 50th anniversary with the firm and thank him for his contributions and commitment we held a party for Derek which was attended by all staff – including the firm’s five partners – and a number of long-standing clients.
"We presented Derek with vouchers for him to purchase his chosen gift of a camera."
