Sandwell mayor scops £35k for charity
FORMER Sandwell Mayor Linda Horton has helped raise over £35,000 for local charity.
The money has been split between her chosen charities Birmingham Midland Eye Centre and BUDS which represents a Better Understanding of Dementia in Sandwell.

The money was accumilated during her year in office with both charities receiving £17,688.48.
She said: "I thoroughly enjoyed my year as the Mayor and I'm grateful that we were able to make sizeable contributions to help those suffering from dementia and the hospital in trying to prevent blindness.
"These two organisations do so much for local people facing problems in our borough".
