SINGERS are set to hit the high notes during two Christmas concerts are being held in Blackheath in December.

Central Methodist Church, High Street, is hosting the concerts which will feature the Blackheath Central Community Choir.

On Monday, December 8, at 10.30am a free carol service is being held at the church and everyone is welcome.

A Christmas Concert is being held on Saturday, December 13 at 2pm and tickets cost £5.

Both concerts have been organised by church group Central Friendly Faces.

Neil Harris, from the group, said: "Central Friendly Faces are part of Blackheath Central Methodist Church and we support the elderly of the area with various activities held at the church throughout the week which include exercise classes and Friday luncheon club.

"During December we are holding a Christmas Carol Service and a Christmas Concert both featuring Blackheath Central Community Choir which consists of Central Friendly Faces' members.

"All proceeds will be donated to the charity Loaves and Fishes and church funds."
