THE following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between November 10 and 14:

Richard Steven Lawley, aged 35, of Churchward Close, Stourbridge, was sent to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months, for stealing confectionary, worth £80, from Poundland, Stourbridge on October 21 and 22. He was also sentenced for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards a PCSO, with intent to cause them to believe that violence would be used against them, in Stourbridge on October 22. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £20 compensation.

Shaun Phillip Mitton, aged 32, of Halesowen Road, Netherton, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for driving without a licence or insurance in Birmingham on October 28. He was also sentenced for receiving stolen goods in Dudley between October 22 and 28 and stealing items worth £5.70, from One Stop Shop, Dudley, on November 9, while subject to a suspended sentence. He was given six penalty points.

Dominic Rowley, aged 31, of Bromley Lane, Kingswinford, was discharged conditionally for six months for fishing for coarse fish in close season and failing to state his name and address to a water bailiff when required to do so, at Fens Pools, Brierley Hill on June 4. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £127 court costs.

Stephen Neil Large, aged 37, of Ragees Road, Kingswinford, was fined £110 for drink driving in Kingswinford on October 25. When tested, he had 90mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 23 months and must pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Aldona Swiderek, aged 30, of Wells Road, Brierley Hill, was sent to prison for eight weeks, suspended for 18 months for stealing items, worth £11.78, from Asda, Dudley, and possessing cannabis in Dudley on October 16. She must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Karl Williams, aged 25, of Grange Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for four weeks for possessing a lock knife in Dudley on October 3. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Dean John Hanzel, aged 24, of Ankerdine Court, Halesowen, was sent to prison for four weeks for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause two police officers to believe that violence would be used against them, in Halesowen and Brierley Hill, on October 13. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Ross Andrew Hierons, aged 35, of Southwick Road, Halesowen, was sent to prison for 22 weeks for stealing items, worth £9, from Wilkinsons, Stourbridge, on November 3, while subject to a suspended sentence. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Tariq Ali Khan, aged 36, of Clay Lane, Oldbury, was sent to prison for four weeks for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress, in Warley, on July 17. The offence was racially aggravated. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.

Deborah Hickman, aged 42, of Boundary Hill, Gornal, was fined £110 for assaulting a police officer in Lower Gornal on October 29. She must pay compensation of £75, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

James Stuart Douglas Garfield, aged 18, of Lime Road, Sedgley, was given a 12 month community order for entering a dwelling as a trespasser with intent to steal, in Sedgley, on October 22. He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Justin Terence Newman, aged 43, of Tile Croft, Wollescote, was fined £65 for stealing deodorants, worth £9.58, from One Stop convenience store, Lye, on October 14. He must pay compensation of £9.58, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Nicholas Geoffrey Lloyd, aged 30, of Water Street, Kingswinford, was discharged conditionally for 18 months for damaging a television in Stourbridge on October 11. He must pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Thomas Graham Wareham, aged 31, of Apollo Road, Wollescote, was given an 18 month community order for assaulting a woman in Stourbridge on May 11. He must carry out 250 hours unpaid work, pay compensation of £75, a victim surcharge of £60 and £150 court costs.

Richard Joseph Bruce Chilton, aged 40, of Cradley Road, Netherton, was given a two year community order for assaulting a woman in Dudley on July 19. He must pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £60 and £250.

Stuart Alan Round, aged 25, of Severn Road, Colley Gate, was sent to prison for 12 weeks for stealing alcohol, worth £41, from Sainsbury’s, Brierley Hill, on September 18 and stealing an iPhone in Brierley Hill on November 9. He must pay a victim surcharge of £80.
