ST PAUL'S Church has again brought together a group of local singers to perform a free concert on Good Friday.

The Blackheath church will be staging Faure's Requiem at 7.30pm on Good Friday and admission is free.

The singers are made up from members of the church's congregation and friends from other churches and choirs.

Graham Roberts, from the church, said: "This will be another in the long list of occasions when St Paul's has invited people together who want to sing.

"Under the direction of Su Dymond, the extended choir will be singing Requiem by Faure."

He added: "They have been preparing on many dark and cold winter night to ensure a moving and memorable performance for all that attend."

This is the first in a series of events at the Long Lane church throughout 2015 to raise funds for a new sound system within the church building.
