A TAXI driver is being hunted by the police after a hit-and-run crash in Rowley Regis.
A 21-year-old motorcyclist was rushed to hospital with a broken leg following the crash on Springfield Lane, just before 5am on Saturday, April 4.
Sgt Dean Booth, of Sandwell Police, is hoping to track down the taxi driver.
He said: “Having spoken to a few witnesses so far, we believe the car was a silver Vauxhall Vectra or Ford Mondeo and was bearing private hire plates.
“The car will have had front end damage as a result of what happened and so someone must know where it is, or may have been asked to do repairs.
“We urge those people to come forward.”
Anyone with information should call Sandwell Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.
