HALESOWEN’S UKIP councillor Stuart Henley has been left scratching his head after persistent questioning about why he is not standing in May’s local elections.
The fledgling councillor for the town's north ward has only served on Dudley Council for one of a four-year term and is not due to seek re-election until 2018.
He said people were still asking why he was not standing and wondered if other councillors faced the same queries.
Each ward has three councillors but they are elected in different years to serve four-year terms.
In Halesowen North, Cllr Karen Shakespeare will stand for re-election next month while Cllr Hilary Bills’ term runs out in 2016.
