VETERAN Labour Cradley Heath and Old Hill politician Ann Shackleton has announced she is standing again for Sandwell Council.
The 71-year-old, who was first elected in 2001, said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to stand again in Cradley Heath and Old Hill, a community that has been my home for three decades.
"I've always done my best to support local people, and we've had some real successes - the Haden Cross pub campaign, the restoration of bus routes to Russell's Hall and the redevelopment of the market which is slowly coming together."
She added: "I hope I have the opportunity to continue to represent the town and the people that I love after May 7."
Mrs Shackleton will be fighting the seat against Pete Durnell from UKIP, Ben Groom from the Greens, Robert Johns from the Liberal Democrats and Stephanie Palmer from the Conservative Party.
