THE funeral of Sandra Garratt, who leapt to her death from a Halesowen multi-storey car park because she could no longer endure the constant pain she suffered, will take place next Thursday (April 23).
Family and friends of the 56-year-old wife, mother and grandmother will say their final goodbyes at Gornal Wood Crematorium at 2.45pm.
Mrs Garratt, from Rowley Regis, took her own life at the Asda multi-storey car park on Good Friday – three days after being told by two hospitals there was nothing more they could to alleviate her pain.
Heartbroken husband, Steve, said she had been tormented by severe pain following back surgery two years ago, which even morphine could not relieve.
Her funeral coincides with St George’s Day, which is the day after the couple’s wedding anniversary and the day before her birthday.
