AN industry expert took a look at a range on Black Country projects aimed at boosting business during a visit to Dudley.
Lord Bhattacharyya, and founder of Warwick Manufacturing Group, met with transport bosses at Dudley Council and the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership to discuss plans for a light rail link between Dudley and the rail network and how the project could be developed in conjunction with his group.
The top industrialist, who works with companies including Jaguar Land Rover and Tata, also met with Labour candidate for Dudley North, Ian Austin, to discuss training in the region at the new Dudley Advance Centre during his visit on April 16.
Mr Austin said: “Lord Bhattacharyya is an expert on how schools, colleges, universities and manufacturers can work together to create new jobs and businesses, so I’m delighted to welcome him to Dudley Advance where we’re taking the same approach.
“It’s another example of how making education and skills our number one priority can help our area attract the new businesses and jobs that our future prosperity depends on.”
