A NIGHT of sparkling entertainment is on offer at Stourbridge Town Hall next month when a celebrity auctioneer presents his ‘Diamond Divas’ lecture.

Hosted by the Rotary Club of Stourbridge, Will Farmer will give a guided walk through the private jewellery collections of the Queen, Wallis Simpson and Elizabeth Taylor.

Mr Farmer, of Fieldings Auctioneers in Mill Race Lane, is well known for his appearances as an expert on Antiques Roadshow for the past ten years and he also has a passion for 20th century design.

The jewels featuring in his celebrity lecture, starting at 7.30pm on June 16, have adorned some of the most famous women in the world, with each piece revealing its own story filled with intrigue, humour, conflict, but most often love.

A spokesman for the rotary club said: “Will’s lectures are always entertaining and full of interesting anecdotes. Diamond Divas will be no exception.”

All proceeds from the evening will go to charities supported by the rotary club, which each year gives over £20,000 to local, national and international causes.

Tickets for the lecture cost £10 and are available from Chris Fonteyn by calling 01384 376865 or by visiting www.stourbridgerotary.org
