A ROWLEY Regis restaurant added a national award to their menu at a glittering celebrity-packed ceremony.

Shahidur Rahman from the The Raj Spice, on Halesowen Street, collected a best achiever accolade at the 2015 Curry Life Business Achievement Awards 16 top Asian entrepreneurs from businesses across the UK.

Curry Life Magazine invited a host of famous faces to the ceremony including Dame Tessa Jowell DBE, Penny Mordaunt MP, Lord Ahmad, paralympic swimming gold medalist Lord Chris Holmes, deputy leader of the House of Commons Therese Coffey MP and MP for Leicester East Keith Vaz.

Dame Tessa Jowell said: ““Over the years, the Curry Life has been renowned for recognising talents from Curry Industry. The awards ceremony is a fantastic celebration of innovation and inspiration within our vibrant Asian Business community.”
