STAFF and councillors from Dudley Council will be stumping up cash for charity during a special cricket match.
They will go head-to-head in the Mayor of Dudley’s annual cricket match on Friday (August 28) at Stourbridge Cricket Ground.
Initially, the game was set to take place in June but was called off after torrential rain.
Councillor Steve Waltho, Mayor of Dudley, said: “The annual charity cricket game is always lots of fun and I’m grateful to the people who give up their time to come and play.
“I’m really looking forward to raising some money for my chosen charities.”
The teams will take to the field from 6pm.
Spectators are welcome to attend and cheer the teams on and help raise money for the charities by taking part in a raffle.
Admission is free.
Proceeds will benefit Cllr Waltho's five chosen charities, which are The Hope Centre in Halesowen, The What? Centre, Stourbridge, More Mascots Please in Brierley Hill, The Georgina Unit at Russells Hall Hospital and the West Midlands branch of Lupus UK based in Coseley.
