HALESOWEN and Cradley residents can have their say on local issues at a series of award-winning community forums run by Dudley Council.

The Halesowen North and Halesowen South Community Forum will be held at Leasowes Community College, Kent Road, on September 8.

Then, the following night, the Providence Methodist Church in Colley Orchard, Colley Gate, will host the Amblecote, Cradley and Wollescote, Lye and Stourbridge North forum.

Also on September 9, the Belle Vale, Hayley Green and Cradley South forum takes place at Earls High School, Furnace Lane, Halesowen.

All of the events start at 6.30pm.

Dudley Council runs a total of 10 forums across the borough, which recently won a UK Public Sector Award, in particular for online sessions run through the Dudley borough Facebook page.

Councillor Pete Lowe, leader of the council, said: "We are a community council and that means we are constantly looking for ways to work with people and listen to communities.

“There are many ways people can raise issues and ideas with us, some of which we have been recognised nationally for.

"The 10 forums, however, offer people the chance to do that face to face with their councillors, who are only too happy to help.”
