FRIENDS of a Rowley Regis nature reserve are celebrating a £10,000 windfall from the Big Lottery Fund.
The grant from the fund's "Awards for All" pot will help the Friends of Rowley Hills to develop their activities over the next year.
The application for the funding was steered through by the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country, which works closely with the group.
A spokesman for the "friends" group said: " It's fantastic news.
"Although yet to be finalised, the money is likely to be spent on activities such as guided walks and other events, training for our members so that we can deliver more future events and supplies necessary for the upkeep of Rowley Hills."
The nature reserve includes Turner's Hill, Bury Hill, Portway Hill and Darby's Hill, where the ridge forms part of the watershed between the Rivers Severn and Trent.
